Jelly Candle Craft Tutorial
We often use candle in our life. The common candle we know is block candle. The block candle is made from paraffin and solid stearin. The next model of candle we will learn is jelly candle. This kind of candle is transparent and more elastic than block candle. We can create and imitate many shapes with this candle. Now let us learn jelly candle craft tutorial.

The heating and cooling process
The jelly candle uses liquid paraffin that can be thicker if mixed with candle jell. The way is mix both ingredients in high temperature (about 110°C). The more candle jell is used, the more thick candle liquid that resulted.
Heating process can be done with putting directly the pan above the fire.
After heating process done, the candle must be cooled with leave it in open air so the candle become thick.
Molding process
Jell candle need the mold that heatproof like metal or rubber.
Coloring process
This step is applied when the candle still hot so the color will be blended.
Other accent adding process
For instance you can add small accessories in the jell candle or block candle as accent.
Wick making process
Before used, dip the wick that made from cotton in salt and borax solution then dried up. Then the wick must be dipped in liquid candle then dried up.
To make this wick can stand upright, we wrap it with thin email fire (see picture) in drying process. In the under part of the wick in the candle container, put the metal upholder. This upholder can be made with cutting the aluminum in circle, oval, square or other shapes. In the middle part is made a hole to insert the wick that strengthen with glue then the upholder is glued in the under part of the container.
